Ocean Guardian Closing Assembly

Grade 5 students, completed six months of special study of the San Lorenzo Watershed and Monterey Bay Sanctuary with an assembly for the entire school. Under their guidance, the school reduced our use of single-use bottles by one half! Grade 5 students rewarded our entire school with Klean Kanteen reusable bottles so that we can be a zero waste campus!

Grade 6 performs Shakespeare!

Congratulations to sixth grade students, and their teacher Mrs. Kaye Olivier, for performing  Shakespeare’s Pyramus and Thisbe for the Holy Cross School community. 

May Crowning

On May 6 the Holy Cross Community celebrated the May Crowning ceremony as part of Grandparents and Special Friends Day.

Opera in the Schools

The West Bay Opera Company "Opera in the Schools" performed Mozart's The Magic Flute on Wednesday, February 23 in the Holy Cross Hall with the students of Holy Cross School. The "Opera in the Schools" program sends music ahead so that students play roles in the opera and the audience of children in Kindergarten through grade 8 sing as the chorus.
 
 

Zero Waste Lunch

Through the leadership of the Student Council, Holy Cross School participates in the Santa Cruz Zero Waste Lunch Program. On January 28, by composting and using reusable containers, over 200 students produced 3 pounds of waste!
